Endovascular Thrombectomy

Endovascular Thrombectomy

Thrombectomy is a minimally invasive procedure used to remove blood clots from arteries or veins to restore blood flow. During the procedure, the doctor inserts a small thin tube called a catheter, usually through the groin, and guides it to the location of the clot using imaging technology. Specialized devices are then guided through the catheter and used to extract or break up the clot, restoring normal blood flow.
